It's not just a trophy on the line — here's how you can enter for a chance to win The GIST's MLB Playoffs Bracket Challenge.

• If this is your first time filling out a bracket with The GIST, head to the top of this page and create an account. If you've filled one out for previous tournaments, sign in.

• Navigate to the "Make your picks" page and pick your series winners for each round of the playoffs by clicking on the team you think will advance. For each matchup, you will also predict how many games the series will last. You can enter up to three brackets — but make sure you fill them out completely.

• Points are awarded for every series winner you pick correctly. The value increases per round (Wild Card Series are worth 2 Points, Division Series (aka quarter-finals) are worth 4 Points, League Championship Series (aka semifinals) are worth 6 Points, and the World Series is worth 8 Points). An additional 5 points will also be added if you guess the World Series winner and series length correctly.

• Any GISTer who predicts the combined final score of the World Series–winning game (Team 1's runs + Team 2's runs) will receive an additional 5 points.

• The deadline to submit a bracket is Tuesday, October 2 at 2:32 p.m. ET.

• Check back to see how your bracket's doing on the live leaderboard.

• Winners will be announced in The GIST's Sports News newsletter and on The GIST's socials, so keep an eye out.
