How to play

  • Sign in to your account. If this is your first time filling out a bracket with The GIST, create an account.
  • Navigate to the Make Your Picks page and pick your winners for each round of the tournament by clicking on the team you think will advance.
  • Since matchups are still being confirmed in real time, placeholders will be put in until teams are confirmed.
  • Edit your brackets anytime until submissions close on Sunday, June 28 at 2pm ET.
  • Points are awarded for every correct pick, with values increasing each round:
  • 1 point in the Round of 32
  • 2 points in the Round of 16
  • 4 points in the Quarterfinals
  • 6 points in the Semifinals
  • 8 points for the Championship Match
  • Correctly predicting how many minutes of stoppage time will be tacked onto the championship game will net you bonus 5 points.
