The first two games of the World Series saw tricks (aka not one, but two cheating controversies) and treats (thanks for the free tacos, Kyle Schwarber). Now with things all tied up in this best-of-seven set, tonight’s Game 3 is sure to be scary good.

The GIST: The first two games of the World Series saw tricks (aka not one, but twocheating controversies) and treats (thanks for the free tacos, Kyle Schwarber). Now with things all tied up in this best-of-seven set, tonight’s Game 3 is sure to be scary good.

Games 1 and 2: The highly caffeinated Philadelphia Phillies stormed back from a five-run deficit in Friday’s Game 1, stealing a 6–5 win on the road thanks to catcher J.T. Realmuto’s clutch extra innings homer. But the Houston Astros wouldn’t let history repeat itself on Saturday, jumping out to another early five-run lead and this time holding on for the 5–2 win.

Game 3 preview: If you hear noises in the distance, it’s not monsters, it’s Philly fans gearing up to host their first World Series game in 13 years tonight at 8:03 p.m. ET. The home crowd will cheer on pitcher Noah Syndergaard while Houston counters with Lance McCullers Jr. in a battle of two starting hurlers with impressive postseason numbers.

  • Adding to the intrigue? The Phillies are undefeated at home this postseason while Houston is undefeated in their three postseason road games. Spook-tacular.
