A brand-new bracket for college football's national championship

Why let college basketball have all the fun? In honor of the expanded college football national championship bracket, The GIST is launching its first-ever college football bracket challenge — so you can have some skin in the game. Ready to school the rest of the field?

How to play

It's not just a trophy on the line — here's how you can enter for a chance to win The GIST's College Football Bracket Challenge.

  • If this is your first time filling out a bracket with The GIST, head to the top of this page and create an account. If you've filled one out for previous tournaments, sign in.
  • Points are awarded for every winner you pick correctly. The value increases per round (first round is worth 2 Points each, quarter-finals are worth 4 Points each, semifinals are worth 6 Points each, and the National Championship game is worth 8 Points).
  • Any GISTer who predicts the combined final score of the championship-winning game (Team 1's total points + Team 2's total points) will receive an additional 5 points.
  • The deadline to submit a bracket is Friday, December 20th at 6:59 p.m. ET.
  • Winners will be announced in The GIST's Sports News newsletter and on The GIST's socials, so keep an eye out.
